Final Captures
The Bridge in comparison to the university site: There is an obvious interference within the 3d printer structure and the rest of the university site. The "bridge"/ Printer does not link to anything. It almost acts as a monolithic parasite onto the existing surroundings.
As the theory mentions, by being able to put pen to paper, and erase something when needed, this monolithic printer applies the same concept. The printer pours out a fluid ink that sets firm in order to print out the building, and then the building is then capable of being demolished by a CNC machine which shaves off all of the existing material, as an eraser.

Week 12 | Student feedback

The feedback provided by myself was based on what was presented on Thursday and what was visible on my peer's blogs. Of course everybody's work is still in the making so its difficult to make comments. Here are the feedback sheets.

Week 10 | Precedent Plan, Space Requirements, Bridge Plan Draft, Lumion Draft

Precedent Plan - Therme Vals, Peter Zumpthor

The way that I imagined the spaces from my bridge to function are inspired by the block like pods in the thermal baths of Switzerland. The plans are laid out in a manner that exhibit stone block work that is geometrically positioned to serve as rooms. Some of the blocks lead to more private and ‘introverted’ rooms where as other blocks act as a more public space. The passages in between the stone blocks create an open floor plan that stretches the fluidity of the space and enables a means of ‘meandering’.

Space Requirements in Volume - Draft

Bridge Plan Draft
Inspired by the thermal baths plan, the bridge layout plan is made up of blocks geometrically positioned to serve as rooms. Some of the blocks act as passage ways (which will probably have some kind of conveyor belt system as a means of transportation from pop to pod) and some blocks are more private/ introverted for meetings, theature etc.
